I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project and would like to ask for your help.
I will be fundraising with a clothing drive on Sunday, October 22nd from 9am-1pm at Our Lady of the Visitation. I am asking anyone that is available to come and help collect donations, even if only for a couple of hours. Also if you or your family has anything to donate, please bring it by!
The project I have chosen is constructing a wellness area with a bench on the property of our local police department. I would like to raise awareness about the mental health and well being of our police officers as well as the suicide rate amoung the officers in our country. It will be a spot they can go to and decompress. I will also have a QR code that links many of the mental health resources that are available for them.
We will physically start the project on Saturday, October 28th at 9am. I am expecting to work 4-5 hours and be back on Sunday morning to put the finishing touches. As we know many hands make light work. I will be very appreciative of anyone who can donate their time to help.
We will be providing an early lunch and beverages.
