**New Cleanup Date: Saturday, September 30th**


Good Afternoon, The Paramus Clean Up has been rescheduled for next Saturday, September 30th.

If you can attend, please email me at ccviger05@gmail.com with a list of participant names including Leaders and Parents. Also, let me know if you will be at the DPW for the 8:30am Bagel Breakfast and Photo. Please reply no later than Tues., Sept. 26th for logistics purposes.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE A SIGNED WAIVER! We WILL turn away anyone who has NOT signed a liability waiver. It's attached to this post. If anyone in your group has an allergy to bees or anything they might encounter on the cleanup, please also have them complete the Allergy Form and turn it in before the start of the event. Breakfast and Group Photo: Thanks to generous donations and the MERK Crew, bagels and coffee will be provided before the cleanup at the Paramus DPW ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/2cZeoFPgij3BrtSp9 ). Vegan and Gluten-Free options will be available. Show up at 8:30am to grab a snack, and stay for the group photo at 8:55am. Schedule: 8:30am - Arrive at the DPW, meet your fellow volunteers, and enjoy a bagel 8:45am - Safety speech 8:55am - GROUP PHOTO at DPW 9:00am - Depart the DPW and drive to your site.

Except where noted, park only on Borough/School property. 9:15am - Arrive at your Clean-Up Site and check in with your Site Coordinator by handing in your waiver (and allergy form, if applicable) 11:00am - Check out with your Site Coordinator and receive your service hour certificate Volunteers Should Wear: All volunteers must be dressed appropriately for the clean up and weather. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and possibly wet! Rubber soled, close-toed shoes must be worn by all participants. Sites by creeks and rivers will be muddy. Rain boots/ Rubber Wading Boots are highly recommended for these sites.


Troop Class "B" T-Shirt/Hoodie Long pants (to prevent scratches from bushes and weeds) Long sleeve shirt (to reduce bug bites) Hat (for the sun) Closed toe shoes - mandatory. Crocs, sandals, and slides are not an acceptable form of footwear for this type of event.

Volunteers Should Bring: - Signed liability waiver - Allergy Form (If Applicable) - Reusable water bottle - Sunscreen

- Rain Poncho/Jacket - Optional: Glasses, Safety whistle, Safety mask

Volunteers DO NOT Need to Bring (Paramus DPW will provide): - Safety vests - Hand sanitizer - Trash grabbers - Gloves (cloth and disposable nitrile gloves will be provided) - Bug repellent - Water to refill bottles Clean-up Site Assignments: To Be Assigned
