Mrs. Viger has asked that when we come together this Thursday to celebrate the accomplishments of our Scouts, it would be great if we could help Honor the Memory of a Brother Scout from Maine.
Remy J. Pettengill of Troop 479 was an Eagle Scout passed away on Jan. 7th from extensive and non recoverable brain injuries as a result of a car accident. Even in his death he continues to help others with the donation of his organs which saved 4 lives so far.
In celebration of his life, his family has decided to reflect on his Eagle Project that involved developing hygiene care packages for Veterans at the Cabin in the Woods Program at the Togue VA in Maine.
His family and Troop are collecting new pairs of socks for the homeless and Veterans. If you could please bring a pair of socks or more to donate it would be greatly appreciated. A box will be setup in the room to drop your donations.
