Camp Rodney 2023!

Rodney Families,

Hot off the presses is the 2023 Rodney merit badge list and schedule. Please review with your Scout and start to get an idea of which merit badges he's interested in this year. Please take notice of the duration of each class as that will be critical when creating their daily schedules.

First year Scouts will be participating in the Brown Sea program so they will not have to choose merit badges.

Merit badge selections are due by the March 30th meeting. Scouts need to have their final list with them at that meeting! I register the classes on the morning of Sat April 1st and classes go fast.

Additionally, all Scouts and participating adult, need to have a physical prior to arrival at camp. BSA is very particular about the medical forms that are used so ONLY use the one below. Deviation from these forms will delay the entire Troop's entry into camp. Parts A and B can be filled out by the parent while Part C has to be completed by a physician.

If your Scout has had a physical within one year of departure (July 22th) then all the physician's office has to do is fill and sign the Part C.

Rodney pricing, along with everything else lately, has increased this year. Scouts are now $555 each and participating adults are $200. Leadership is currently reviewing the annual Troop budget and will determine what portion of each Scouts' fundraising will be used to defray these costs.

Parents who have questions about scheduling, medical forms, or anything Rodney related, please come to this Thursday's meeting (3/23/23) at 8:30 and I'll answer everything in a breakout session.

Here the photo album from last year's trip:

See you on Thursday.

ASM Alex
